As Xmas parties go a Planet Rock event is expected, not only to be great fun, but to feature great bands and that's exactly what happened. The O2 Academy in Islington is such a great venue, big enough to pack in a pretty substantial crowd yet small enough to remain intimate. Ok I was in the VIP lounge but did mingle with the rockers on the ground floor ( typing this, that sounds a bit pompous but thats how it was ) for a reasonable chunk of time and my, they were really enjoying it.
