Hi, we're Outside Royalty. We're going on tour through Europe, as the support band for The Cranberries reunion tour. The good folks at Rokpool have asked us to put together this little blog. It'll be where we discuss the goings-on of a 7-week tour. Your little peek behind the curtain, into the sound checks, the tour buses, the hotel rooms... It's our last full day in London. All of the big stuff is done and prepared, squarish cases ready to be loaded onto the van. What remains to be done reads like a laundry list of boring tasks: -Stencil band name on cases -Label and color-code mic cables -Test inputs on subsnakes -Apply velcro to milk crate / keyboard stand -Make van packing chart etc. Not exactly the glamorous life you've come to expect from us, but things that need to get done ;-) We'll be checking in here regularly, so please do join us. We'll try to make it fun, entertaining, and an enjoyable read. In other words, the opposite of our last-day task list. Hope to see you round...
