Neil Percival Young
Biography:

Neil Young born November 12th, 1945 is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician and film director. Young is characterized by his lyrics, guitar work and falsetto tenor singing voice. He has experimented with a wide range of musical styles including swing, jazz, rockabilly, blues, and electronic music but is best known for two distinct styles: folk-esque acoustic rock and grunge, causing some to dub him "The Godfather of Grunge."

Young signed to Reprise Records releasing his debut self-titled album in 1968 which met with mixed reviews. For his next album, 'Everybody Knows This is Nowhere', Young recruited three musicians collectively known as Crazy Horse. The album includes familiar songs such as 'Cinnamon Girl', 'Cowgirl in the Sand' and 'Down by the River'.
