Marc Bolan
Marc Bolan (Mark Feld) was a hugely successful star in the Seventies when his group T Rex, which had evolved from his previous group Tyrannosaurus Rex, which was a loosely hippy acoustic duo. During the early Seventies he had a string of hugely successful hit singles and accompanying LP’s, however, as the Seventies moved towards the Eighties his star waned somewhat and he fell out of favour as is the way of the world.

Towards the end of the decade however, he regained some popularity and particularly based around the fact the he became a children’s television presenter, he still continued to record and had his last hit just before he was killed in a car accident on Barnes Common on September 16th 1977.
