Frankie Goes To Hollywood
Frankie Goes To Hollywood achieved 3 No.1 singles in the U.K in their 1980's glory days, only one of two acts to ever achieve this feat. Formed in Liverpool, FGTH were comprised of Holly Johnson (vocals), Paul Rutherford (vocals and keyboards), Peter Gill (drums), Mark O' Toole (bass guitar) and Brian Nash (guitar).
Their debut single ''Relax'' was the 7th best selling single of all time (as of May 2006), after being banned by the BBC in 1984 the song shot up the charts from a humble No.6 to reigning at No.1 for 5 weeks.
''Two Tribes'' and ''Power Of Love'' both also hit the hot spot, and FGTH were the first act in 20 years to reach No.1 with their first 3 singles.
The summer of 1984 was the band's, thanks to a highly successful T-shirt marketing campaign, with eye-catching slogans such as ''Frankie Say Relax!''

Sales slumped after their meteoric beginnings, and the band went on to split, reforming in 2004 without Holly Johnson, and eventually going on to call themselves Forbidden Hollywood, with new singer Ryan Molloy.
The band have not been active since 2007 but have not officially split up.
