venue fronted by British boxing legend and run by his Brother George,
where Jimi Hendrix wrote 'Purple Haze; The Who opened and closed the
venue, and the Small Faces rehearsed, with interview with many of the

If you only went to the Upper Cut once, you would have to have been there for the Stax/Volt revue: Otis redding, Sam & Dave, Booker T & the MGs, the Markeys, Eddie Floyd. It was the best night of roxk/R&B music I ever heard - including Cream at the Albert Hall, Hendrix, and Led
